This is one of those "you need to look up discussion to know wtf is going" anime so this is what I thought after finishing watching the anime (spoilers of Serial Experiment Lain)

Anyway:
I think the anime was about how Lain killed herself instead of Chisa and since she is irrelevant and no one cared about her, not even her parents, nothing has changed after her death so she is irrelevant in the world in general.
So that's why at the end everyone is alive, life has keep going, nothing has changed because she is irrelevant. That's why Chisa is still alive. It is all in le head anime?
Is Lain in coma in a hospital bed forgotten or just dead?
It is one of those animes where what is literally on the screen is not exactly what it is going on, right? One of those where you need to read between the lines...
My friend who I watched it with me thinks I'm tripping. What do you girls think it is about?
